Travelling to Angouleme, France

To help you plan your trip, we have included useful links to airlines, ferries, rail operators and car rental companies.

If you need further assistance in this regard, please do not hesitate to contact us.

BY AIR: fly with Ryan Air and Easy Jet from many UK airports to our local airports - Limoges, Bordeaux, Bergerac.

BY ROAD: The journey time from St Malo and Caen is approximately 5 h 30 m and Calais via the canal crossing is approximately 7 h 30 min. There are Areas (rest areas) approximately every 40 kilometers on French motorways so that you can interrupt your trip for breaks. We recommend the use of ViaMichelin for planning your journeys. This tells you fuel usage, time, breaks, tolls etc. https://www.viamichelin.co.uk/. If you are a frequent European traveller by car you might want to consider a Tag for the tolls. Saves the lengthy queues and not having to have Euro's readily available. https://www.emovis-tag.co.uk/

BY RAIL: Angoulême train station is 20 minutes from Tillac-Gites, with its main TGV train connections to Paris and Lille (journey time to Paris around 2h20) with journeys from or to the United Kingdom via Eurostar .

Please contact us and we can advise or help you in your choice.
